Toggle Switch 6 Pins

🔄 6‑Pin Toggle Switch – DPDT On‑Off‑On (Double‑Pole, Double‑Throw)

A versatile 6‑pin DPDT toggle switch that controls two separate circuits simultaneously. Featuring three positions (On–Off–On), it’s ideal for reversing motor polarity, switching power sources, or selecting between dual signal paths.

⚙ Key Features:

  • DPDT action: operates two circuits in sync

  • 3-position toggle: On‑Off‑On style

  • 6 solder/lug terminals arranged in two rows of three

  • Electrical rating: typically 6 A @ 125 VAC or 3 A @ 250 VAC

  • Compact size (~13 × 12 × 10 mm) with panel cutout around 6 mm

  • Robust mechanical life: ≄ 10,000 cycles

  • Dielectric strength: up to 1500 VAC

📊 Wiring & Operation

Each side functions as an SPDT switch. The middle pin is Common (C), and the top & bottom pins are the two throws.

  • Left side pins: control circuit A

  • Right side pins: control circuit B

3-position logic:

  • Up: both commons connect to upper throws

  • Middle: both commons open

  • Down: both commons connect to lower throws

Common use-case: To reverse a DC motor, wire +V and –V to the throws; attach motor leads to the commons.

💡 Typical Applications:

  • Motor reversal

  • Dual‐power source selection (e.g., battery vs USB)

  • Audio signal switching

  • Control panels, robotics, automation

  • Custom electronics requiring DPDT control
